Kokak Chocolates' Founder and Head Chocolatier Carol Gancia has shared her love for grown-up chocolate confections with the greater San Francisco Bay Area community. I recently chatted with her at the San Francisco International Chocolate Salon and got to sample some of the latest flavors. Her chocolates also won several awards. Kokak, which means “ribbit” in Filipino, is inspired by Carol Gancia’s Asian heritage. She aims to take customers on a visual and tasteful adventure to tropical pond life in Asia where lush lilies, bamboo, plants, and animal life thrive. With an artisan mindset focused on custom truffles, bars, pastries, and liquid chocolate beverages, she creates approachable chocolates that are luscious, umami, and fun. Her chocolates are just plain fabulous.
