EASY CHOCOLATE BARBECUE SAUCE
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup Guittard dark chocolate syrup (or make your own dark chocolate syrup)
1/4 cup olive oil

2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1/2 tbsp cracked black pepper
1 tsp Hungarian paprika
1 tbsp prepared mustard
1/2 tsp hot sauce (use the very best; experiment with degrees of heat of the hot sauce)
Instructions:
Saute onions and garlic in olive oil, until tender. Stir in lemon juice, salt, pepper, paprika and hot sauce. Simmer for 5 to 6 minutes and reduce heat. Stir in ketchup, vinegar and Chocolate Syrup. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.

Chocolate barbecue sauce isn't something I would have thought of. But, you make it sounds interesting.

Also there's a sauce that has chiles in it.. fabulous! These aren't sweet..but great.
