My favorite recipe is on the back of the Nestles chocolate chip package. I do put in more 1/4 cup more brown sugar than it calls for. And no nuts.
The Chocolate Chip Cookie Crime story happened here in central Illinois. Very sad, though possibly understandable if the chocolate chip cookies involved had been something better than Chips Ahoy. I blame that kind of behavior on the flat, flat, flat landscape covered in corn and soybeans.
I did not even realize there was a day dedicated to Chocolate Chip Cookies - my favorite dessert ever. I somehow love them even more when they include Ghirardelli or Nestle chocolate chips - they are soooo rich!
