HAND-ME-DOWN CHOCOLATE CAKE
Ingredients
3/4 cup butter
1-3/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup Hershey’s Cocoa
1-1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/3 cups water
Directions
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat 1 minute at medium speed. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add alternately with water to creamed mixture. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350F for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool.
Frost with chocolate frosting and decorate.

This cake is deeply chocolaty and so moist. Probably the best I’ve ever had.
